Personal seamstress
It used to be quite common for many people and families to have their own seamstress or tailor. You’d buy a piece of fabric (and a pattern) at the market or in a shop and delivered it to the seamstress. Nowadays this mostly only happens if you happen to have someone that enjoys sewing in your circle of friends and family. How cool would it be to bring back this concept?!
Someone that will get to know your body and taste. Someone that gives you a heads-up about a nice fabric that you would like, and could easily turn it into a beautiful dress, pair of trousers, coat etc. Every piece being handmade and ecologically responsible.
Once I’ve taken your measurements and made a base pattern on your size, I can make endless amounts of designs and variations. For most models it won’t even be necessary anymore to have fitting sessions. Besides that, I only need to adjust each model to your personal size once, so for each second version of a model you can cut down on costs!
Copying a garment
Is your favourite piece of clothing all worn out? Or do you enjoy wearing it so much you’d like a second one? No problem! For €45 I’ll draw a pattern based on your garment and put a fabric selection together. The price for making the garment depends on the model and the materials. I will give you an estimate of this.
Custom made
Do you have an idea for a garment or would you like to have a unique piece of clothing designed especially for you? Make an appointment and we’ll sit down together to discuss all your wishes and options. For a base price of €150 I will make the design, draw the pattern, make a fabric selection, take your measurements, make a muslin (fitting model), and offer you two fitting sessions. In many cases, the muslin can be used for other garments. The final price for making the final garment depends on the model and the fabric.
Pattern made to measure
Do you like getting busy behind the sewing machine yourself, but find it difficult to find or make a good pattern? No worries, I’m here to help!
I can for example offer a so called ‘base pattern’ on your measurements. This is basically a mold of your body in 2D. You can order a base pattern for clothing for you upper body, or for clothing for your lower body. You can use these patterns to make variations; change the type of sleeve, neckline, skirt, etc. For only €20 I’ll take your measurements and draw one base pattern.
